MOTHER and daughter both tasted A-level exam success at Amersham and Wycombe College today.

Lynda Cornish and daughter Suzanna, from Marlow, both studied psychology, and discovered their results this morning.

Mum Lynda received a B grade and Suzanna a C.

Lynda said: "I am over the moon. The tutor was brilliant and very supportive."

There was identical success in psychology for Chesham twins Danielle and Jess Waterman.

They both achieved C grades and also had identical grades in sociology and home economics.

Danielle is now going to Bournemouth University to study Events Management and Jess is going to Coventry University to study Health & Life Management.

Super student, 19-year-old Sergio Iacobucci from Beaconsfield, is off to Bath University after finishing his A-levels in just one year.

After achieving A grades in Business Studies, Sociology and Psychology he said: "Completing A Levels in one year instead of two has been hard work. But the teachers in the College are very good and supportive."

The College's Head of General Education Gerry Montague said: "It is a great pleasure each year to see how the determination, talent and hard work of students confounds the negativity which a few pundits seem to attach to A-levels.

"All our students have their own challenges to meet, whether they are aiming for university or returning to study for study's sake."
