BREAST cancer survivor Beverley Craven attended the opening of the Chiltern Breast Care Centre in Great Missenden after being given the all clear.
The centre has been treating patients for more than a year and was officially opened on Thursday, once the management were confident in their ability to deliver all the first-class services they advertised. The centre is a one-stop clinic for the South Buckinghamshire BMI hospital group of the Paddocks Clinic and Shelburne and Chiltern Hospitals, where the singer was treated.
Singer Beverly Craven lives in Buckinghamshire and is married to song writer Colin Campsie.
The mother of three rose to fame in the early 90s with her number three hit single Promise Me and was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2005.
There is a history of breast cancer in her family and the singer said it was reassuring coming to the Chiltern Breast Care Centre where the staff were experienced in dealing with anxious breast cancer patients.
She added: "Being able to see a specialist within days rather than weeks, was an enormous relief."
The centre is equipped with the latest technology and provides specialist breast care treatment and diagnosis as well as counselling and advice.

Sandy McPherson, consultant breast surgeon at the centre, added: "All our staff have received specialist training and receive ongoing professional development to keep them at the forefront of their field."
The singer said: "I love the way that it's a tight and interlinked unit here because it's comforting to be able to come back to the same familiar place and to see the same faces.
"My decision to come here is a result of a very simple question I ask myself: What would I want for my daughters if they were in my position?'
"The answer is that I would want them to be in a clean and well-maintained hospital where they would receive prompt treatment and be in the hands of people who are at the cutting edge' of their profession.
"I would like to say that I am clear of cancer now and hope to remain that way. But if in the future, I need any treatment - I know exactly where to come."
