Teenagers arrested after cars spray-painted

TWO teenagers have been arrested in Chesham after reports of youths spray-painting cars.

Residents phoned police and reported two youths spray-painting cars in the Hodds Wood Road and Woodley Hill areas last night.

Two Chesham boys, aged 16 and 15, were arrested in Cresswell Road at 10.30pm.

They were taken to Aylesbury police station and released on police bail.

Chief Inspector Stuart Greenfield, local police area commander for Chiltern, said: "While in isolation this kind of anti-social behaviour may seem trivial, we treat it very seriously as it affects people's quality of life and makes them feel unsafe.

"I would like parents to remind young people that a criminal record has serious repercussions for their future plans, whether job opportunities or foreign travel."

Anyone who saw anything suspicious or has had their car spray painted should contact PC Kerry Mann on 08458 505 505 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
