DANNY Senda has dismissed speculation linking him with Scottish Cup semi-finalists Hibernian and says all he is interested in is winning promotion just now.

The SPL outfit are the latest club to be linked with the 24-year-old right back who has played a key role in Wanderers' promotion charge but Senda won't let their interest deflect him from his immediate aim.

He has put all talks about his future on hold as a mark of respect for manager John Gorman, whose wife passed away 12 days ago, and for teammate Mark Philo who died in a road crash in January.

He said: "It is flattering to be linked with a club like Hibs but I think it would be disrespectful of me to think about anything other than winning promotion for Wycombe at the moment.

"It's been a traumatic season and all I want to do is win promotion for the people we have lost.

"It might have been different if this had come at the start of the season but with the loss of Mark Philo and the manager's wife, I just want to concentrate on winning promotion for them. I am closing my mind off to everything else.

"Mark Philo meant a lot to me and the rest of the lads and I'm very close to the gaffer. At the moment all I want to do is win the league for them."

Senda has spent seven years with the Blues since joining them as a youngster from Southampton.

He was strongly linked with West Bromwich Albion a few years ago and Wanderers turned down a bid from Championship side Luton Town in January's transfer's window.

He said: "It's flattering to be linked with clubs but as far as I know it is just rumours this time. Last time when there was the talk about me maybe going to West Brom I let it affect my game but I won't let it happen his time."

Senda is out of contract in the summer and could leave on a free transfer.

He has been offered a new deal by Wanderers but has decided to wait until the end of the season before committing himself and he hasn't ruled out staying at Adams Park.

Gorman has been aware of Hibs' interest for a while but is confident Senda will stay if Blues win promotion.

He said: "I have known about Hibs' interest for some time. But Danny likes it here and he's been great for us.

"I'm not worried. If we go up he might just decide that he wants to stay here."
