A developer that breached planning rules has filed a new application to ‘regularise’ changes to new homes being built in Wycombe.

Revere Developments has asked for retrospective permission for rooflights that have already been fitted to two pairs of three-bedroom semi-detached houses.

The properties are part of an approved ongoing redevelopment of the car park at Old Kiln Road, Flackwell Heath, which also includes an apartment block of four two-bedroom flats, landscaping and parking.

Revere’s new application reads: “Construction is progressing on the approved scheme, and roof lights have been installed to the rear roof slopes of the approved semi-detached dwellings.

“This non-material amendment application seeks to regularise that alteration. The proposed amendments to the approved plans do not affect the apartment block.”

The applicant claims that the existing rooflights are approximately 25m from the nearest neighbouring houses and are ‘not considered to result in any potential overlooking impacts’.

Revere’s new application for the site comes after breaches of planning control were identified there by Buckinghamshire Council in January and revealed by a councillor in an email.

These included the insertion of a rooflight and a lift, as well as the siting of the development and a condition related to the bike and bin store.

The councillor who disclosed the breaches said the applicant could either remove or stop the unauthorised work or submit a retrospective planning application to retain the development.

Residents living near the site of the new flats and homes said they were ‘frustrated’ by the planning breaches that had taken place.
