THIS king-size butty was made to celebrate British Sandwich Week.
Staff at Bramley's, Spittal Street, Marlow, created the super-sarnie, made of cheese, onion pickle, tomato and lettuce, on display in the shop next week. The one sq ft meal was decorated in Union Flag colours using food dye.
Sandwich makers are celebrating the British claim that the original fast food was created by Lord Sandwich 200 years ago.
Sue Berrido, who runs Bramley's, said: "More people are selling sandwiches than when we started ten years ago. I think it is because there are so many combinations. We had a chap in this morning who wanted chicken, prawns, pineapple and coleslaw. It's not everyone's taste but he orders it every day. Some people just want a buttered roll."
